Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION
Intercom is widely use nowadays, especially at tall building like apartments, condominiums and private offices. Intercom can be categorized as security devices to prevent from the criminals. It has been gone through so many evolutions but solely in abroad country. In Malaysia, usually, intercom had been built just to hear voices through a speaker in a building, and it is also just for one door only. There is no intercom in Malaysia have video and built for apartments. Malaysians just have guard house and several people to guard their houses. Nowadays, with the high crime all over Malaysia, it is very useful to have intercom with a video with it.
Because intercom just only be used for one door or one house only, intercom in Malaysia are still using cabled intercom which have to install wire to connect between the two devices (microphone, speaker with bell at front door and microphone, speaker with buzzer inside the house) which will be costly. Solution to that, wireless video intercom will be a great solution for tall building like apartments, condominiums or private offices.
